ironically, i learned the importance of photographs after i stopped taking them. now, there are gaps where memories used to be. looking at the past through a screen have been my only time markers.

taking photographs have become an act of love. this is how i tell my friends: i see you, i want to bring you back to this moment, this joy of creating, and this piece of time that cannot be rewound.

Seed starting Thursday!

We have two varieties of corn (sweet and baby), two varieties of okra, two varieties of sunflower, and a bunch of wildflowers.

I have no idea where I'm going to stash this tray. Right now it's in the bathtub--I'll figure it out tomorrow.

I sowed the corn 5 seeds to a cell to give me enough plants for pollination. Okra is new to me for the garden--I kinda wanted one of the showy red varieties for ornamental value since they'll be going out front, but free seed is free seed so two green varieties it is!

Haven't grown any of the wildflowers from seed before except buy buying the plant and letting it self sow. I sowed half of the seed I was given into the cells and I'll drop the rest in ground once I've figured out where I want it and prepare the site.

I think that may be it for the plants I needed to start indoors. Everything else will be a direct-sow except for the delayed season cucumbers and maybe a few squash if I decide to try to deal with the squash borers (or need a trap plant for squash bugs).

Bonus spring flowers:

Purple tulips and common lilac just about to flower in the next day or so. I probably should dig up and divide the tulips this fall...they're at least 15 years old and the clump is looking pretty tight.

Celegorm and Amras and Amrod helping Maedhros re-figure out how to do basic wilderness survival (starting fires, making traps, making cordage, idk I don't actually do Wilderness Stuff) with only one hand.

(The kind of thing that all of Feanor and Nerdanel's children learned during family traveling time in their youth, and that Maedhros helped all his little brothers learn, and that he is extremely ill-tempered about re-learning under his little brothers' direction.)

(Alternatively, Maedhros broke his arm on such a trip when he was elf!12 or whatever, so he already has at least a basic theory on how to do it all. But let's be honest that's less interesting.)

Just finished my tournaments for today and i shot a 235 at bullseye (which is not my best BUT better than last year) and a 255 at 3D which KILLED my og pr of 210💪🏻💪🏻

It has been a CRAZY weekend.😂😁 I got to go to my first ever Comic Con!!!😁 Thank you David and Alek for tagging along and making the trip fun!!! I enjoyed getting to take pictures, shop around while looking at stuff from my favorite fandoms and getting to listen to people talk about their passions as they gave us advice on writing books, how to bring NPC characters to life for DND, and what their best things in life from being a musical performer were. Thank you @planetcomiconofficial for a great time! I’ll definitely be back next year!😁

i really dislike how people view your behavior/feelings toward dogs as like. a litmus test of your inherent goodness or whatever. if you dont like dogs you’re Odd. if you dont try to pet random dogs thats Strange. if you dont try to rescue stray dogs thats Heartless. if you kill a dying dog instead of making it suffer thats Cruel. if you like dogs youre Correct. if you see a dog and want to pet it you are Normal. if you see a stray and try to take it to the vet or adopt it you are Kind. if you force an animal with shit quality of life to survive because your feelings are more important to you, you are Good.

I'm an idiot and completely forgot that the only thing I was waiting on for a Maeglin cosplay was a longsword, which... I've now had for a month ^^;

SO threw together a quick costest for the lad today. Mostly pleased, though there are a few things I want to adjust; and I need to figure out if the reason his eyeliner/eyeshadow color isn't showing up properly is because it's too dark or because of this particular lighting/phone camera setup (I decided on dark blue for him, but it's not showing here the way it is in person).

Also, with thin clothing like this, compression bra/binding doesn't cut it for me, and I wear my silicone torso to change up how the fabric drapes on me -- so I wore it today, to make sure my clothes still fit with it on (as these are just my daily clothes lmao). Aaand, since I already went to the trouble of wearing it (it is a huge pain in the ass to take on/off), I figured might as well take some fun photos too -- enjoy, under the cut! XD
